UKVisaPath exists to help people make one of the biggest decisions of their lives. That only works if the information is accurate. Here is how we try to keep it that way.
Primary sources first
Our facts come from official primary sources, not from other blogs. Visa fees, the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS), maintenance amounts, processing standards and immigration rules come from gov.uk. Guidance on student rights and practical issues draws on UKCISA, the UK Council for International Student Affairs.
Fees re-verified every April
UK visa fees usually change at the start of April each year. We re-verify every fee on the site against gov.uk in April, and again after any major rule change announced mid-year. Where a figure has a start date (for example, £558 from 8 April 2026), we show it.
Every page shows a last-updated date
Each page carries a visible "Last updated" line so you can see how fresh it is. When we edit a page, we update that date and the machine-readable date behind it.
TB clinics verified against the official list
Approved tuberculosis (TB) test clinics change. Before we publish a clinic's name, address or fee, we check it against the gov.uk approved-clinics list for that country. Even so, please confirm the current details with the clinic before you travel.
Reader corrections are re-checked
When a reader reports an error, we do not just take it on trust - we re-verify it against the live official source before changing the page. If we are wrong, we fix it and move the last-updated date.
No pay-to-play
UKVisaPath does not accept payment from agents, universities or anyone else to change, promote or soften its guidance. What we publish reflects the official rules and our reading of them, nothing more.
Guidance, not advice
We work hard to be accurate, but rules change and individual cases differ. Nothing here is personal immigration advice, and we cannot guarantee an outcome. Always confirm the current position on gov.uk before you rely on it.
