What Ghanaian students need to know - TB tests, proof of funds, paying fees, and VFS centres
The UK Student visa rules are the same wherever you apply from - £558 visa fee, £776/year healthcare surcharge, and proof of funds for tuition plus 9 months of living costs (£1,529/month in London, £1,171/month outside). What's different for Ghana is the practical side: where to take an approved TB test, how to present a Ghanaian bank statement that UKVI will accept, and how to pay your fees in pounds.

Calculate Now →Ghana is on the UK's TB-screening list. If you're coming for 6+ months you must test at a UKVI-approved clinic - there are 6, in Accra and Kumasi. A test from any other hospital means automatic refusal.
View approved clinics →An MTN MoMo / mobile-wallet screenshot will not be accepted for proof of funds. UKVI needs an official statement from a regulated bank, on bank letterhead, stamped or with a covering letter. See the proof-of-funds guide.
